Marketing Internships
Internships are a way for students to gain real-world experience in their field while earning credit towards their degree.
Find an Internship
We recommend searching for internships on Handshake, WSU’s job and internship search tool for students and alumni.
Although the Marketing Department provides resources to assist you, you are ultimately responsible for finding an internship that fits your needs. This includes locating and negotiating terms for your internship.
Before beginning an internship, you must follow the application process.
You’re eligible to take 3 internship credits to fulfill the requirement for a Marketing Practicum if you:
- are in good standing with a minimum GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale
- have completed three 200-level and above Marketing courses
You may earn and apply up to 9 additional internship credits toward general university graduation requirements.
The next thing you’ll need to do is meet with the Marketing Department Chair to review your internship eligibility, gain approval of your internship, and complete the Internship Application (PDF).
Once you’ve completed your internship application, submit it to the Dean’s Office.
Internship applications must be submitted before the internship begins.
If not, your application will be denied.
