Advising for English Students
Whether you are just beginning the English program or are about to graduate, we are here to help you navigate your way through the program.
The English Department offers its students many advising resources to help ensure you have a balanced class load while achieving a timely graduation date.
Make sure to check your Degree Audit on Student eServices regularly to verify your progress and fix any errors as soon as possible.
This report documents all the courses you’ve taken and their grades, the courses you’re currently taking, and the courses you need to take to fulfill your program and/or general graduation requirements.
Each English major and minor is assigned an adviser from the department after completing the Declare a Major/Minor Form.
Your adviser will be able to help you choose the right classes, plan your schedule semester by semester, and give you your registration code.
Transfer Credits
If you’re a transfer student, we will make sure you have a smooth transition into the English Department.
Dr. Ann-Marie Dunbar will meet with you to help determine what English credits can be transferred to WSU. Make sure to bring your Degree Audit and course syllabi for transfer courses to help make the process easier.
