Chi Sigma Iota
Chi Sigma Iota is the international counseling academic and professional honor society. Members commit to maintaining high standards of professional competence and service.
Our goal is to serve others to the best of our ability and to encourage other members of the counseling profession to do the same. Members of the Society have distinguished themselves through scholarship and professional excellence.
WSU’s Counselor Education chapter, Rho Sigma Upsilon, is active with more than 30 members in Winona and Rochester.
We invite students with a 3.5 GPA and 9 credits to join by visiting the CSI website and paying the membership fee online with a credit card. The faculty advisor will be notified of a student’s membership and will add new members’ names and email addresses to the Counselor Education Department’s listserv.
New members will get information about meetings, current projects, and fundraisers. Earnings from fundraisers are dispensed according to goals set by the officers. New Counselor Education students are welcome to attend meetings and become involved in activities prior to officially joining CSI at the national level.
