Economics Programs
Winona State’s Economics Department is known for its innovative teaching strategies, ability to incorporate economic theories and models in analyzing problems, and emphasis on the application of course knowledge to solve real-world challenges.
The economics undergraduate major consists of:
- 6 required courses (18 credit hours)
- 3 required quantitative courses (9 credit hours)
- 6 upper division economics courses (18 credit hours)
- the General Education curriculum
- general electives to finish the degree with a minimum of 120 credit hours.
The College of Business admission policy does not apply to the economics major.
As a Bachelor of Arts degree program, WSU’s Economics major is not accredited by AACSB.
