Graduate Non-Degree Seeking Student Application
Students who have completed a baccalaureate degree (or higher), but do not intend to pursue a master’s degree, may register as graduate non-degree seeking students.
If you have never been admitted as a WSU graduate student, then you will complete the online application for Winona State University.
Select the options for “Non-Degree Seeking Student” under program and “complete courses, but no degree”.
There is a $20 one-time only application processing fee.
WSU will automatically retrieve your transcripts from any Minnesota State colleges or universities you attended.
You’ll need to request transcripts from each non-Minnesota State institution.
Transcripts can be sent to admissions@winona.edu or mail them to:
WSU Admissions PO Box 5838
Winona, MN 55987-5838
If you previously submitted a Graduate Admissions Application and enrolled in at least one course, then you can submit a Re-Enrollment Request Form.
Students who attended WSU as an undergraduate student must apply as a new student to WSU Graduate Studies.
You will receive confirmation for your admission as a graduate non-degree seeking student as well as other instructions such as:
- registering for courses
- accessing your account online
- making tuition payments
You will need to contact the relevant academic department or course instructor if you are registering:
- in a course that requires permission of the instructor
- after the start of the class
The faculty will contact School of Graduate Studies to facilitate your enrollment.
If you are working toward teacher licensure/certification, contact Paula O’Malley at pomalley@winona.edu or 507.457.5570 to learn about the additional procedures and requirements.
