Health Advocates
WSU Health Advocates promote wellness and healthy lifestyles by modeling healthy choices and educating others about them.
Students who are part of the Health Advocate team act as a resource for the campus and the community through educational events and presentations.
What the Health Advocates Do
Health Advocates educate other students about WSU’s 7 dimensions of wellness.
They share information and prevention strategies for health issues and refer students to other resources both on and off campus.
The advocates host events of each year such as:
- Mental Health Game Day Experience
- Flower Potting Party
- DIY Aromatherapy Bags
- Sexual Health Fair
- Water Aerobics
The Benefits of Being a Health Advocate
Becoming a health advocate is a great resume builder, as you can provide an example for living and promoting a healthy lifestyle.
Some benefits include:
- Get yourself CPR, AED, and First Aid Certified
- Get Mental Health First Aid Training
- Free Trainings and Education Opportunities
- Social Media Content Creation Opportunities
- Wellness Blog Management and Writing Opportunities
- Graduation Stole
