Faculty-Led Programs
Faculty-led programs are perfect if you want to earn academic credit while traveling for a shorter amount of time.
Faculty-led programs are short-term, group-based study away programs that:
- span 8-22 days over spring, summer, or winter breaks
- satisfy a WSU course or courses, usually a Goal Area or a major or minor requirement
- include other WSU students
- are led by WSU faculty
You can refine your search and get more details about specific faculty-led travel programs in the WSU Study Abroad portal.
WSU typically offers 13-15 faculty-led programs each year to destinations all over the globe.
Some programs run every year. Some run on alternate years. And others may have several years between runs.
About half of faculty-led programs are open to students in any major—which means lots of possibilities!
If you are interested in the academic topic or location, we encourage you to apply.
Every College at WSU offers faculty-led programs.
Many faculty-led programs are intended for certain majors.
We get it: you don’t want to take just any class to fulfill a general education requirement.
Take a course that excites you, earn credit toward graduation, and explore the world all at the same time.
