Homecoming Court Nominations
Homecoming Court is a tradition that spotlights students who demonstrate what it means to be a Warrior.
They are highly involved on campus, in good academic standing, and best represent the student body.
Students and campus organizations determine who they think embodies these qualities and would represent the student body well.
In celebration of inclusivity and diversity, WSU’s Homecoming Court has non-gendered royalty instead of crowning a traditional king and queen.
Nominate a Candidate
The Homecoming Committee encourages your campus club/organization, Warrior athletic team, or residence hall to nominate students who:
- Best represent your organization
- Are highly involved on campus
- Give back to our communities in a variety of ways
You may sponsor up to 2 candidates, but you cannot nominate yourself. Each candidate runs separately.
Submit an entry form with an individual picture of the candidate by Sept. 22.
Minimum Requirements for Candidates
- Currently enrolled as a WSU student
- Have attained a sophomore standing or above as of August 2023
- Have a cumulative GPA of 2.50 or above
- Not currently on any disciplinary probation (on campus or in the residence halls)
- Must be nominated to represent a campus club/organization, Warrior athletic team, or residence hall
Selection & Voting Process
The Homecoming Court selection committee will interview all candidates the week of Sept. 25 to select the top 10 students who make it onto the Homecoming Court based on:
- Involvement on campus and in the community
- Warrior pride
- Commitment to the mission of WSU
The Homecoming Court and Royalty chair will contact elected candidates with more information about coronation and additional responsibilities for Homecoming Court.
