Additional software for specific courses or academic programs is available to download.
All WSU computers are configured with these core programs for productivity, collaboration, and engagement between students, faculty, and staff.

Antivirus Software
All WSU computers come with pre-installed antivirus software (Malwarebytes Endpoint Protection) that automatically detects and prevents damage from malware and viruses.
WSU also installs the latest software patches, firmware fixes, and secure browser extensions, all to keep your WSU computer safe from online threats.
Whether you need it for class or for personal preferences, you can download additional apps to your WSU-issued computer.
There are many WSU-supported apps that are typically necessary for specific disciplines or courses and are licensed to run on any WSU computer. WSU students and staff are also able to take advantage of our Microsoft partnership with Azure Dev Tools for Teaching.
If you choose to download other apps, make sure that you do so from a trusted source like the like the macOS App Store or Microsoft Store.

Download apps only from known and trusted app stores and be careful with free apps.
Free apps often lack standard features, such as bug fixes, and security patches. Free apps are also more likely to include malware, adware, or viruses.
Don’t download file sharing apps.
When in doubt, contact the Technical Support Center before downloading apps that aren’t specifically approved by WSU.
Software and apps are often protected by copyright.
Downloading or distributing copyrighted material, including through peer-to-peer file sharing, without the permission of the copyright owner is against the law.
Use of WSU resources for unauthorized distribution of copyrighted materials is forbidden and against the terms of the eWarrior Digital Life and Learning agreement.
