Business Program Admission

After being accepted to WSU, all business undergraduate and graduate students must then apply to their specific academic programs.

To register for upper-level business courses, you must be admitted to the College of Business. You can apply for provisional admission during the semester that you will complete the admission criteria.

You can take upper-level business courses as a non-College of Business student as long as you are a junior and you have instructor permission.

Transfer students are encouraged to explore Transfer Pathways programs, which are designed to ensure a smooth process of moving from a two-year college to WSU.

Apply to Undergraduate Programs

You must apply to the College of Business with a declared business major or minor listed on your Degree Audit Report (DARS).

Provisional Admission

Provisional admission will allow you to pre-register for upper-level Business courses while you are completing the admission requirements for the College of Business. Provisional admission status will roll over to a full admission application once the provisional period has passed.

To apply for provisional admission, complete the College of Business application

Applications take about 2 weeks to process. You will receive an email confirmation once you have been admitted and your DARS will reflect your new major or minor on Student eServices.

If not granted admission prior to the beginning of the next semester, you will be dropped from upper-level Business courses.

Transfer Students
Once you are admitted to WSU, you can meet with the College of Business Academic Advisor to discuss how your classes will transfer into your chosen business program and how to apply to the College of Business.
