Warrior ID 

All students, faculty and staff at WSU are issued an ID card known as a “Warrior ID”.  Students at the Winona and Rochester campuses will have Warrior ID cards specific to those locations.

Distance learning students are also issued an ID card so they can take advantage of digital services even though they aren’t physically on campus.  

Your Warrior ID is an essential part of day-today life on campus as it serves as your official campus identification and grants: 

• Entry to campus buildings and residence halls 
• Use of meal plan and dining dollars in the Jack Kane Dining Center and other campus dining locations
• Ability to make purchases on campus through Purple Pass
• Access to media services

Every Warrior ID cards has the following information and features:

• Card holder’s name
• Card holder’s photo
• Card holder’s Warrior ID number (8 digit number)
• Card holder’s PALS ID (14 digit number for all Library Services)
• Magnetic Stripe for point of sale transactions
• Prox no. for door access and gate access

Warrior IDs for New Students

New students will have their photos taken for ID cards during the registration events held on campus in the spring and summer. You’ll receive your Warrior ID card that day.

If you are a distance student or can’t make it to an on-campus registration event, you can upload a photo during Virtual Registration events. 

Keep these things in mind when taking a photo: 

• Use a white or light background with no other objects in view
• Have your face and shoulders squarely facing the camera
• Leave space around and above your head
• Do not include pets or other people in your photo
• Do not wear hats, sunglasses or other accessories that block your face
• Avoid selfies– this is your WSU Warrior ID and should be professional

You can also have your photo taken in person at the Campus Card Office in Maxwell 233. 

Whether you’re on campus to pick up your laptop, for a tour, or registration, you are welcome to stop by for 5-10 minutes to take a photo and print your card. 

Lost or Stolen Warrior ID Cards 

If you set up a GET Funds account, lock your card online right away. 

Once you lock your card, you will not have access to your Meal Plan,Dining Dollars, or Purple Pass funds. See the Food Services window in Kryzsko 220 to request a temporary eating pass for Meal Plans.

You can also report a stolen card to WSU Security. 

If you use Library services, notify the Circulation desk that your card was stolen because you could be liable for books checked out under your card. 

Replace a Warrior ID Card

Contact the Campus Card Office at 507.457.2480 or email campuscard@winona.edu to request a replacement card. 

We print your replacement card on demand and usually only takes 5-10 minutes. We will offer you a chance to update your photo at the same time.

It costs $20 to replace your Warrior ID card. You can pay cash, check, credit/debit card by visiting the WSU Cashier at the Warrior Hub. 

Bring your receipt into the Campus Card Office in Maxwell 233.

If you prefer to be billed on your tuition, the cost is $22 and can be completed while you are requesting your replacement card.
